SAI SYMPHONY

Bhagaban Sri Sathya Sai Baba in one of his divine discourses described "Nama Smaranam" as the highest saadhana. Dhyana (Meditation) in Sathya yuga, Yajna (Sacrifice) in Tretha yuga, Archana (Worship of Idols) in Dwapara yuga and Nama Sankirtana (Reciting the name of God) in Kali yuga are the methods prescribed for realizing the Divine. When the name of God is chanted as a song set to music, it delights the heart immensely. The words of a song can be expressed in a prosaic manner which has no appeal to the listener. But when they are sung melodiously, they tug at the heart strings. Everyone whether he is well versed in music or not, would listen attentively to such sweetness contained in the song when it is rendered melodiously. "SYMPHONY" signifies such melodious offering of devotional songs and bhajans glorifying the name of God at the Lotus Feet of Bhagaban which would bring immense pleasure and purify the minds of everybody and help them to contemplate on God with deep devotion.

With the divine blessing of our most beloved Bhagaban Sri Sathya Sai Baba, "SAI SYMPHONY - A devotional music and cultural programme" of Orissa was started in the year 2007 under the dynamic guidance of our Honourable State President Prof. Harekrishna Dash and State-in-charge of Sai Symphony, Dr. Brahmananda Hota with full cooperation and active involvement of all state office bearers and all Sai ashrit brothers and sisters. Sai Symphony is an endeavor to illuminate the divine light in the hearts of devotees following the proper way of reciting the name of God and to attain the eternal bliss. Swamy says-"Bhajan is one of the processes by which you can train the mind to expand into external values". Therefore Sai Symphony has extended its foot forward to identify the talented youth of the state in different spiritual arena and help in their spiritual upliftment. So Sai Symphony is in action to transform the youth of the state to Sai Youth.

The inner significance of singing bhajans and devotional songs is to earn the love of God. Starting from his childhood, Swami has given utmost importance on bhajan singing and to derive pleasure by emerging in the sweetness of glorifying the name of God. Bhagawan says- "Nothing can happen against the divine willpower and if we stretch one step towards God then he will progress hundred steps towards us." Thus whatever has been achieved so far was only due to the Divine Grace and the hidden hand of Bhagaban Sri Sathya Sai Baba and we are only the instruments in the hands of the Divine. With the Divine Grace, Sai Symphony is destined to cover all the districts of Orissa under the uniform pattern of bhajan singing with the Sai nectar within. The next phase is to organize Sai Symphonians in every zone to further boost and more effectively conduct bhajan training Programmes and spread the glory of the Lord through bhajans and devotional singing. With humble pranaams, we heartily offer all our efforts & programmes of future at the Divine Lotus Feet.
